Welcome to the Southern Warwickshire School Sport Partnership (SSP) Website. SSP's have been set up by the DFES and DCMS in partnership to help raise the profile and quality of PE and school sport in all schools across the country.
Each SSP has a Partnership Development Manager (PDM) and in the case of Southern Warwickshire we have an Assistant PDM due to the number of schools involved. This management team is housed at Kineton High School which is the Partnership's Sports College in line with the national model. Within each secondary school there is a School Sports Co-ordinator (SSCo) who looks after not only their school but also a cluster of primary schools, each having colleagues called Primary Link Teachers (PLT's) with release time.
The Southern Warwickshire Sport Partnership has now reached full capacity with all of the schools now on board and we are beginning to make a difference to PE and school sport in and beyond the curriculum. Our overarching target is a government Public Service Agreement or PSA where 85% of all pupils will undertake 2 hours of PE and sport in and beyond the curriculum by summer 2008.

Table Tennis News - Congratulations King Edward VI Grammar School Boys Table Tennis Team
Friday 08th of February 2008 11:31:00 AMCongratulations to Tristan Gretton, Chris Blowey, Phil Blowey and Jack Garner. After a long & tiring journey to Southampton that started at 6.30 a.m. the squad put in a tremendous amount of work in beating Torquay Boys Grammar from Devon 6-2, drawing 4-4 against Whitgift from South Croydon, Surrey and losing to the eventual winners (we think!) Wembley High Technology College 2-6. The 4 points gained in total were not quite enough for the boys to qualify to the most prestigious schools finals in the whole of the U.K.

Thanks go out to schools, volunteers and parents for their continued support. For results please go to the Warwickshire Schools Athletic Association Tab and scroll down to relevant results.
